New Nature Photograph: Cauldron Falls (Two Versions)
I made this photograph during our UK Photo Tour in June 2013. West Burton is a lovely, quintessential country village in the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales. This nature photograph shows a graceful waterfall amid lush greenery. Also known as West Burton Falls, this lovely waterfall is just outside the village of West Burton. The falls are on a stream called Walden Beck, which joins Bishopdale Beck and eventually the River Ure. Available in color and black-and-white versions. Prints available in any size and on any material. Click each image for a larger preview.
New Landscape Photograph: The Yorkshire Dales
An idyllic scene along Burtersett Road in the Yorkshire Dales presents a vivid green picture of the beautiful landscapes in the middle of England. Sheep and young lambs graze among ancient stone fences, a historic stone barn still stands proudly-if a little battered-and the River Ure meanders peacefully creating an ‘S’ curve through the valleys surrounded by hills and high peaks. Prints available in any size and on any material. This photograph is panoramic format, stitched from five captures. Makes a fantastic wall mural! New Fine Art Photograph: Within the Great Cloister
Fountains Abbey, near Ripon, England, was founded in 1132. It was in use for over 400 years and is one of the best preserved Cistercian monasteries in England. This photograph was made inside the Great Cloister, which physically and symbolically separated the world of the monks living at the abbey apart from the outside world. Prints available, please see the Purchase page for details. Click for a larger preview
New Travel Photograph: Ostuni, Italy
In January/February 2013 I traveled throughout the southern Italian region of Puglia with my friend and client Ron Cooper and his wife, Beth. (Ruth also joined us at the end of the trip, for a weekend in amazing city of Matera.) Ostuni was one of the best places [photographically] we visited; there was so much to explore and shoot around the area. I’m just now processing through my selects from the days we spent there; here’s an image made from a hillside overlooking the town. Next I’m working on stitching a sunrise panorama facing the other direction … it looks amazing, stay tuned! Click for a larger version

My Move to Mirrorless
I’ve been using the Sony NEX-7 for most of my photography lately and really loving it! I might start to move away from the full format DSLR systems if the development in the mirrorless lineup continues. I’m writing a more comprehensive review of the Sony NEX system and article on my camera choices, stay tuned!
